Hello all ! newbe here, I'm Building a Brat 750 based on an 82 GPz with a 81 seized KZ ltd parts bike on hand. I really like the 16''/19'' wheel combo on the LTD and i need to know if the wheels will bolt on to my GPz ?
Anybody done wheel swaps on these early bikes ?

From the diagrams at Partzilla almost all of the Rr wheel components are the same.
You'll need to find out if the GPz swing arm is wide enough for a fat tire & will the Rr sprocket line up.
I'd guess maybe on the swing arm & yes on the sprocket. just guesses.
Then there's the Rr brake. doh.

ps: from the avatar. Are you past the point of no return? A stock gpz is going to be worth a lot more than a brat.
ps2: the gpz rear wheel is worth something, so don't toss it. If you cut off the rear frame, save it. you might be able to have it re-welded.

Thancks for the info , I need to correct my first statment , the GPz already has a 19 up front so it just the rear im doing (Which currently has an 18). As for the Brat convertion i get what yur saying , i accually restored the bike to get collector plate status and then did a reversable brat convertion , if i ever sell the bike it could be ether or.

Im thinking i can just fit a 150/80/16 , the thing that gets in the way is the brake caliper strut rod, i probly will have to do offset on the strut rod.
