The RH grip is sold w the throttle tube as an assembly.  I've seen a RH grip w/o the throttle tube on EB, possibly for a KZ400. I forget & don't remember what it looked like.

Here's the LH grip. has pic. I guess this looks like the original part on a 70s 650. $33 + sh.

And the RH grip assy (unavailable).

Ordered set from Japan on ebay. Quality look superb. Listed as KZ650. But I think it's wrong throttle one?? There was no detailed pic and I didn't see it's 1-cable.
I will check I may just use my old tube (metal). But who is wrong?

Seller claims difference in 2 cable vs 1 cable is due to "year". Was there "KZ650" which used one cable throttle?

Seller is wrong. Both single cable and grip pattern are wrong for z650b.
That looks like a 80"s throttle tube and grip pattern.
82 Z1000j. Single cable.
77 z650b Twin cable.

Is it possible any newer kz650s used those or they all were 2 cable

Don't know anything about the later models but it would seem likely those kind of parts would be shared amongst various models of the year.
Check the cmsnl and khi parts diagrams.

Partzilla shows the same two-cable part number for the 650B, C, D, &E1, and a plethora of other models.

That appears to be part # 46019-1015 & it was used on a number of 81-on KZ models, especially 82-on.
82-83 KZ650-CSRs came w BS32 carburetors & use the -1015 throttle grip shown >> my neighbor had an 82 w the -1015 grip.
My 81 KZ650-CSR has VM24 carburetors w the earlier -038 throttle grip assy.
Models w CV carburetors sometimes only use one throttle cable.
