Disc Lock for Solid Discs

Hi,  I have recently purchased a 1977 KZ650 with solid discs so I am struggling to get a disc lock or simular that will fit.
I have a chain when parked at home but I am looking for something smaller I can carry with me to lock the bike when I park it up to pop in to a shop or stop for coffee etc.  Any suggestions ?

I have a 1977 KZ650-C1.  When I lock it up I use the lock on the steering stem, but I also lock the rear wheel as shown below.  Ed

Good choice for a motorcycle. 
I have this one that fits on the rear rotor.
It's an old one I found, no brand name.

Shame that's not branded as searching by size is not that easy.

I also like that padlock idea so I need to find one exactly the right dimensions and one that unhooks from the lock chamber to get it in that small gap behind.

A few things to note:

- Disc locks are better than nothing, but are very easy to bypass. My bike was stolen with a disc lock on it. For the case you're talking about (shops) it's probably enough.
- Disc locks work better on the rear wheel. Two people can wheel a bike away with ease by lifting the front. If it's on the rear it's difficult even if the steering lock is bypassed.
- Most cast 'stapler style' disc locks are little more than an annoyance to thieves. Many can be bent silently in a few seconds with a pry bar (which can warp the disc but won't stop a theft). The ones that can't be bent can usually be forced with a bolt extractor , or even cut silently with a small blade or cable saw. A traditional padlock or similar with a hardened shackle or a round-body type would be better

Thanks for this, I think it may well fit "3.46” (88mm) maximum distance for disc rotor insertion".
 

As we don't know the size of the hole the lock must pass through, a hitch receiver lock that has a standard 5/8" shaft may be too large to pass through.  Otherwise, it's small enough to slip into a pocket.  The linked item is one example of many.  It has a very secure barrel lock.

I sometimes use the Kryptonite lock on the right on the KZ650.
Through the front wheel on either side of the forks.

The Abus disk lock fits the ZRX, not sure if it fits the KZ...

I have something similar for when the bike is at home but I'm wanting something I can put in my pocket for when out and about

A bracket  is or was available to hold the big lock on your bike . It mounted to the rear top shock mount
