Sorry to be sarcastic but good luck. It’s a one year unicorn. You could have it bored and sleeved.

Yeah I know it's not a common part. Thanks for the reply tho'. I bought a bike that had been sitting for a good long time. Parts for the fronts are easier to find than the rears. I do have a next gen rear MC and caliper on hand and ready to swap out if need be. I also have the next gen Enkei rear wheel and rotor to swap with it to make the caliper work. Other than the rear brakes, I got the bike running great with good compression and everything sounding fine. Thanks again.

The way the 900 B1 rear MC mounts no other will fit without moving the weldmount and changing out the brake pedal. If you want to say true to that bike Enki is not correct. All 1976 Kz900 B1 came with Morris Mag wheels. Early production wheel were a light gray and actual Magnesium rims. The rear rotor, caliper and bracket are the same for your bike and the 1977-78 Kz1000 B1’s and B2’s but for date codes.

The Morris rims hold more value. Recently the value has dropped but they were worth around $600 for the set.

As a purest I’d respectfully ask you keep that bike as stock as possible. It can only gain value as it’s a one year only made bike. I’d say it’s going to be the next Z1 as the Z1 gets more scares

100% serious: be persistent, and don't be afraid to look outside your home country.

The 1981 GPz550 has the same rear master cylinder issue: one-year wonder, very difficult to find, and no aftermarket support [for the OEM MC].

I checked ebay off and on for *years*, then in the space of a week I found a) a good used MC in the States and b) a[n] NOS piston/spring assembly in Canada. IIRC the two parts were about $100 combined. It's a funny old world.

This one isn't stock. I have 2 other '76 B1's...1 all stock and another modified that I built from a bare frame and years of collected parts for a specific vision I had in mind. I have Z1R rotors on the front wheel. They are a direct swap from the Enkei's to the Morris wheels. The Z1R's matching rear rotor will not fit the Morris rear wheel, so a caliper change is necessary. I can change calipers w/o changing MC's. That's why I'm trying to avoid a MC swap. I also have a '77 1000A-model frame on hand for another build, so I have options. My 1st '76 B1 I bought new from the dealer when I was about to graduate HS back in the '70's. It got stolen in '83 or '84. I vowed that day to build another one from the ground up. The blue one pictured is that yet ongoing project. The body is an unfinished repaint of a '77 LTD that I got from a friend that was in a bind. Motor is from a '79 MKII. (I opted for that motor because it's more suitable for a big bore build that I have in mind). The new bike I recently acquired is not yet pictured. Anyway a while back I saw someone that fabricated a bracket to convert the different MC's w/o having to cut or weld. I have the other brake pedal/pushrod etc. I just can't remember where I saw the article, to see if he had a pattern for the bracket. I may never completely finish this project to my overall vision, but it is a fun good running rider and an awesome journey. Thanks anyway. I'll make it work.................Safe ridin'!

Thanks Nerdy. I do search often for different things I need. Ya never know when deals will appear. The way I see it...you'll never find what you're looking for w/o inquiring in various ways, and word of mouth. Thanks

Thanks Mikaw! At this stage in my project bike, I likely won't get the 1327 big block engine build that I was hoping for. But the paint job I had in mind may materialize at some point...after I find the parts to build my custom exhaust. LOVE the journey. Oh btw I'm emailing Jim at Redline to confirm the parts fit and availability. A bit spendy but right now my options are a bit limited to say the least. Thanks for the link! Ride on and stay safe!

I'm not sure what it actually look like, so go through pictures they have. Found couple obsolete parts there, for both my 82' KZ750/GPz and 89' ZX-7.

82' KZ750-R1 cafe racer style. Clip-on, Rear set, Fork-Brace, Mikuni Flat-slide (forgot the size), Kerker.
84' GPz750 (basket case). everything are in pieces.
89' ZX750-H1 (ZX-7 Ninja). Resurrection project are on going with my KZ750. Everything is stock.
