Hey all,

I'd like to replace my chain on '80 KZ440-A1, I know the size is 530 x 104 Links, but I was curious if anybody has any experience with an O or X-ring chain on this bike? I was set to go with a Niche X-Ring chain, but then I saw that some older bikes might have a problem with the clearances needed for the wider o/x-ring chains.

Thanks for any imput!

I wouldn't worry about chain width; the x-ring chain will only be minimally wider than a regular chain. That Niche chain strikes me as a little suspect though. A 440 most likely won't over stress it though.

An X or Oring chain is overkill on a 440.

No no no! Quality is never overkill. Sprocket life is better because the chain elongates less. And all you need is a small spray of chain wax every now and then with a good chain, with a cheap chain you need to spray it regularly with a real lube which is messy as heck.
