Shock help

These were on my 1978 KZ1000 LTD when I bought it some 25 years ago. I searched the internet and Showa seems to be still in business,but I could not find a support or resource page. I’d like to replace the eyelet bushings. Also would like to know what the dial setting is for. To the best I can figure by taking the spring off and playing with the setting it seems to change rebound. I don’t feel any change in compression when changing the top dial settings. I’m reaching out to the experts to source parts and operation manual. Thanks,

Also any input on their grade i.e. good shocks or junk don’t spend the money on them.

Just as you surmised, the numbered setting is for rebound damping adjustment. And there are no OEM bushing parts available. You will have to fabricate something.

Thank you Ed. Opinion on Showa quality. I understand these my be worn but a question in general about Showa.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHere are some on ebay. Or alternatively you can buy the ones for a Z1 from any dealer, which are two piece but much cheaper.

As I understand it Showa is either owned by Honda or they are one of the major shareholders. Quality is good but understand, the overall performance is only as good as the design and the design for those shocks is focused on a price point. If the damping is still good and you don't ride aggressively it would be worth the effort to fix the bushing issues. There are various options available.
