Hole in tear caliper boot was created by Davey b
Anyone know if this is normal, there seems to be a small hole in the boot at the plunger end !!

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI'm not certain, but from EB pics, I'd say yes. From the cross-reference at Partzilla for the 1000-M1,
a number of other models used the same caliper piston boot & EB pics show the hole.

.... 1983 KZ750-H4. same piston boot as the 1000-CSR. see pic #8.

Yes, it´s nomal. It´s a vent hole. Without the hole you would pumping up the rubber boot and it pops up.

Thanks guys, I did think it was meant to be there as it looks like its always been there.
But its always nice to get it confirmed from those who know. Getting the rusted in circlip out was a whole other story, most of it was missing and I reckon it had never been taken out since new !!!
