Z200 Forks was created by sbartle
Hi all,

I have a '79 A2 Z200 that has 32mm fork stanchions (measured with a vernier). Can someone with a similar year bike measure theirs as everything I am reading suggests they should be 31mm.

Thanks,
Shaun.

Howdy. There aren't that many KZ200s around KZR, so you might not get an answer very quick. Is it possible your calipers are off? I would check them against a good ruler or something else w a known dimension. Someone may have swapped the forks. 40-yrs is a long time.
From the Ohio cafe racers fork tube conversion chart the KZ200-A2 should have 31mm forks.
At Partzilla the fork diagram for the A2 shows that the 79-81 KZ200/250 models use the same fork seals & the seals I found are 31mm.

Thank you.

I used analogue calipers so they can be off. (I’ve used the same set for 20 years.

Yes, someone could have changed the forks, although everything would suggest they are original. Some of the fork seals I have seen for sale are 32mm. Strange one.

Thank you again,
Shaun
