Hi, can anyone on here recommend anywhere I can get tyres and tubes for my 81 csr in the uk. Spose I could import them but would probably be too expensive!!
The old girl's been laid up for 23 years so tyres are looking a bit tired !!!

It would be helpful what size of tires and tubes do you Need. Some UK members had a great source of cheap local bike parts in the UK.

In the USA the KZ1000-M1 CSR would be a 1981 model. 1980 might be the date of mfg which doesn't always correspond to the model year >> same as any other vehicle.

From the Dunlop motorcycle tire cross-reference, the 1000-M1 CSR tires are 100/90-19 Fr & 130/90-16 Rr. same size as my 81 KZ650-CSR. I'm currently running Bridgestone Battlax BT45s.

I've been using Pirelli Sport Demon tires on my KZ650 since 2009; I just mounted my third set. I've used Michelin and Dunlop tires in the past and other than the old Michelins with PZ2 race track compound (which totally wore out in 1,000 miles) the Pirelli tires far exceed them. I'm certain that Pirelli tires are available in GB, and they do offer 16" rear and 19" front Sport Demon tires. The video below describes the Sport Demons. Ed

Thanks all for your feedback, mine is indeed an 81 m1 model. On it at the moment are dunlop mm90 h 19 front and dunlop elite gt mu90 hb 16 rear, possibly been on it from new ?( only shows 11000 miles ) but I dont know if that's true.
It says on the rims "tubeless on tubed type rim" so I assume I will need tubes too ??

The 1981 CSR KZ1000 uses spoke wheels right? That's what the USA parts fishe shows anyway. At any rate spokes = tubes.
