Hey folks. My first KZ and my first post here. I’ve had my challenges with my ‘78 KZ750. While restoring entirely everything, my rear brakes gave me almost as much fits as installing a Thunderheart wiring system.

Angle iron to the existing frame mount set up a 21mm piston aftermarket cylinder. Used a coupling cylinder in between the MC and pedal to dial in tension then built a second attachment of square iron to get that aftermarket end to fit snug in the larger OEM pedal extension.

Yes it’s all convoluted and exhausting but I’d hoped if I got this to work and passed it on then someone more skilled than I would run with it.

Much love my new fam!

Just an observation, having the high pressure pipe arching upwards above the calliper is likely to trap air bubbles and make bleeding very difficult (IMO)

Another observation. The actuator rod appears to not be inline with the M/C body. Eventually the continued forcing of the piston agains the wall of the bore could lead to premature failure. I hope that never happens. I’d correct the rod and bores alignment.
