Seat Key Lock was created by Jim Parker
The ignition key on my 78 KZ200 won't open the seat lock. I just got the bike and need access to the electrical under the seat. There is a stamp "G15" on the lock. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Jim

Welcome to the site. That # should be the key number for the lock. Check with the nearest Kawi dealer.

Welcome.

G15 is the key #. If you can post a picture of your Ignition key, I can tell you if it's also a G15. I am a Locksmith, and can compare your key with the pic in the computer progarm. Lubing the lock with a penetrating oil is a good idea.

A Locksmith, Dealer or there are on-line places to order keys can help you if you need a key made for the lock. Or I can send you one if you can't find snything closer.

Post a pic of the bike as well.
