Sambow614 wrote: Currently in the process of finding the right frame and motor to start a full restoration. There is a 79 or 80 (not sure) kz1000csr I found pretty cheap but the frame looks different from the other projects I've seen. My question (for now) is: what is the best year or model frame to start with or in other words, is there any advantage to a particular frame design of a certain year or model kz 1000. I plan to do many mods to motor, front and rear end swap but keep dual shock.
Any answers to this would be much appreciated. thanks guys

Wow a rake and gusset work! That is the old "Irishwill" a member here, who sold those offset plates for $100, over 10 yrs. ago. That is the Caged Heat AA/gasser being built In front.  33 Willys old 354 Hemi supercharger methanol car. It took us 12 years to complete that car. 1st run was in 2016. Anyone ever see Caged Heat at the drags? East coast? Ohio? Thompson, Dragway 42, Lebanon Valley, Galot, NC.

The real Z1 didn’t, 1973-1975. But a European Z1000 would, 1977-1980.  It gets confusing crossing the American sold to the European market.
