Fork spacing...KZ1000P vs. 1000J was created by 415ZR1
Did a forum search, don't have a J to measure...but read somewhere that the late KZ1000P have wider fork spacing compared to the J. Anyone know? Anyone with a J wish to measure fork tube center spacing?

Thanks, John

Hey John! the later P's(after `82?) are wider; tried to install front wheel assy on `81 Gpz1100, no go.
I measured to see what was wrong; the whole front assy was wider, don't remember yr of P I got the frontend from.
Can't give you fork-spacing #'s rt now, it's somewhere in the garage rafters.
J's & early Gpz's use the same 19" wheel, would think the spacing would be same.
Hope this helps. RV

I've been told that mine has a wider fork. I know the diameter is 38mm but the distance between I'm not sure of.
