B and C models are the same rail. D model rails are shorter.

Oops, I now see you mention '80. I'm not sure about the '80 models.

Kawasaki only made the B and C in 1977-79. Any of these will work. I don't think any 80 model will fit because the model was discontinued. They may have continued with the CSR, LTD or SR in 1980, I don't remember the 1980 models of 650, but none of them if there were any will fit a 1977.

This site : z650 shows an '80 C4 model being made. It may not have made to N. America though.
