Fork question was created by DanOz7Five0
Is there anything major to the dust sheild at the top of a set of fork sliders? I have someone interested in buying some forks from me and the ones I have, the sheild isnt attached to the top of the slider. If they are loose is it a sign of more problems with the forks? The tubes dont have any scoring on them and move freely and smoothly.

Probably just old and worn out dust shields :)
They are just a rubber boot that slides up and down the upper tube, and fit in a groove on the lower, ~$20 for a pair IIRC.

If you can find NOS Kaw dust covers, they hold up better than aftermarket. I put a set of aftermarket and they were dried and cracked and looked 50 years old within a year. The originals held up much longer if you can find a set.

Ron Ayers will sell you a stock Kawasaki set, I ordered them for my 79 750B (I think they are the same). Just go to buykawasaki.com and get the part number, then go to Ron Ayers site and paste the part number in the block.

What would you expect to pay for these forks? Im bad at coming up with prices. How about shipping? Its a nonmember here but he seems to be a good guy, he bought my carbs on EBay last week and I sold some handlebars along with the carbs to him.

Assuming it's just the fork tubes, then I would guess $25-$35 :)

If it's the whole thing as pictured, then sell me the brake rotors and fender. That SR fender and drilled rotors would look really good on my 750G :D
