Hi,

I'm having trouble locating literature on the KZ650C2's rear caliper. Does the rear wheel need to be removed in order to remove this caliper for a rebuild?

My rear caliper feels "loose" in place. I can shake it around by hand. It's been squealing, and the caliper moves a bit when the brake is applied. This all started after I flushed the fluid over the winter. It looks like the piston is what holds the caliper in place on the bike, and the rubber must be what is worn out.

www.buykawasaki.com doesn't have drawings for the C2's rear caliper, so I don't even know what parts I need.

upon further inspection:

There are two bolts on the caliper itself. I'm assuming this just hold the two halves in place and there is just a single piston. Is it possible to remove these bolts to break the caliper in half and remove it this way?

And the diagram. It says '79 but it's for the 77 + 78.
