Swingarm Question was created by kawiresto
Hi there, I've got an 82 KZ750twin I'm customizing.
I remember reading a while back that a newer swingarm from the ZX models fit onto the KZ frame... but I can't remember which one. I tried a search on the forum before I posted and cou8ldn't find what I was looking for. Maybe I'm just to impatient.

Thanx in advance for any help!

Hey,

Not sure how wide your frame is but a Zx6D or E model fits the 900/1000 frames with some shims, I believe. The 900/1000 frames are 235mm inside at the pivot point. I have a Gsxr1100 swingarm (on my 1000 and one going on my 900) that fit with only some grinding to the brake pedal mount and not the frame.

The zx model swing arms will fit. all you have to do is grind a little metal off the old mounting perches on the inside of your frame.
