timing problem what am i doing wrong

help please while i still have some hair left.im installing the (dyna s electronic ignition & the green coils)when i went to time it ,i connected the test light to the black wire and lined up just right of the (f) timing mark ,when i rotate the engine.I AINT GETTING NO LIGHT.what am i doing wrong ,its driving me mad.help please.

got it timed.

what were you doing wrong?

i was trying to time it with the engine off,and i still dont know what i was doing wrong?.so i got a strobe light done in a few minutes.

I love it when a plan comes together!

if at firsh you dont suceed,then skydiving definetly isn't for you.
