Parking Only?

I am putting some older KZ 900 / Z1 style controls on my bike (tired of breaking the plastic ones), and the headlight switch has three settings: Off, PO and ON. Just curious what the PO stands for. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Maverick:

A Z1B manual I have states that the PO position is for 'city lights' and further states in that position your tail light and a small 4 watt bulb (inside the headlight) will stay on....but it doesn't actually define what PO stands for:)

PO is a setting that must have been available for European or Japanese customers. On your bike, there should be no paint in the PO marking, indicating that it's not used on your bike.

I'll have to look tonight, but on my 81 750 I think the PO is painted just like off and on (or its just dirty enough to LOOK pained  but I'll check).

My 2000 Land Rover has the odd little 4watt (Rover calls them 'side lights') in the headlights to make them glow.. never figured out what good they are to the driver, but they look nice when its sitting with the parking lights on B) They always stay on when the Rover headlights are on, making a weird color effect.. the 4watt lights are regular bulbs, my headlights are SilverStars, so when you look at the front of my Rover you see a small brownish glow (compared to the white SilverStars) in the bottom corner of the lights.
