Where can I find a replacement rectifier? I need either a stock type rectifier or else one of those kits that replaces both the rectifier and regulator

Just did some research, www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com/rectifiers3p.html

Kawasaki: All early fours: Z1, KZ900, KZ400 and KZ750 twins (H1 and H2 use the R2-55a6)

Also, take the harness and check the yellow wires where they go into the plastic clip.
My last one left me on the side of the road with a dead battery because the wires came loose from the crimped fitting they were supposed to be connected to. I reconnected the wires for a test and it started charging again.
also the ground wire hooked to the middle right side of the block from the battery was loose causing a discharge but wouldnt recharge from the Alternator.

Its a 10 minute job to check all these things. Maybe soldering the wires to the clip ends after removing them one at a time from the plastic clip will bring the rectifier back to charging until you get a new one from the above address.

76-77 KZ750 twins, later models have the combined reg/rec with the permanent magnet alternator.

You can use later model 650/750 four parts to convert your bikes charging system to the permanent magnet alternator with combined reg/rec. You will need the stator, rotor, alternator cover, and reg/rec.
