Can anyone tell me if it's worth the extra money to get a Dyna 2000 or is the Dyna S Ok? I'm not sure I understand Why I would want to change my advance when it's already fully advanced at 2300 rpm.:S

If your not going racing with it then the S is OK. We have the 2000 on our engine and we change the timing according to conditions. Track length/ air temp/ how it's pulling off the corners etc. And drag racers use it alot to retard their timing if they use nitrous or nitro. Hope this helps

Thanks Jackman. I was hopeing you could get a little more in depth about how and why this helps. The timeing is already in full advance at a low rpm .So when I'm ripin it, the timeing isnt changeing anyway ?

The Dyna2000 will fire a spark either a bit earlier or later relative to the OEM advance curve which is determined by the engine speed. When mechanical weights sling out due to centrifical force, the spark fires a tad ealier relative to the valves opening. This is done to aid in complete combustion of the air/fuel mixture. If you have very high compression, I suspect that you would want to slightly delay spark so as not to pre-ignite this mixture. This is the point of the Dyna2000... gives you the ability to determine when the spark will occur relative to the valves opening/closing. If you have a high performance engine, this might make some sense. With a stock engine with relatively low compression, I see little reason to own a Dyna2000 although it does have a rev limiter built in with selectable rpm value. For most any stock engine application, the Dyna S which relies on the same mechanical advance as the stock engine, will work great. The difference is price at this point.
