when i went diving into my horn problem, my 30 year old blinker controller within the housing pretty much disintegrated and i need a new one. i found a whole new housing that would be easier to just put on then deal with this now enormous problem i have. i found a used housing in a junkyard off a 1980 kz1000 and was wondering if this would work on my 1978 kz650sr?

If it has the same controls on it I don't see why not. I'm not familiar with the 1000's but I'm sure someone else here will tell you pretty soon if the controls are the same. My right controls were crap and I looked for a new housing but ended up fabbing my own little control board in the end.
