GPZ1100b1 idle switch and throttle valve switch

Hi B1FI experts
Just wanted to validate Im right in thinking my idle switch is no good, I've removed it and cleaned connections, testing it I have no continuity betwwen the body/ground and the terminal/tip. This would mimic when the throttle is closed and its idling. 

Also, I have no liuttle LED lights flashing on the throttle valve switch when turning on ignition so I intend to check the connections but assuming they are ok, is there a way to test this switch or do I just replace it?

Bike is running well  but does idle a little unevenly and also backfires on overun when coming off the throttle quickly

Don't forget the basics (air leaks from hardened intake rubbers etc) it's easy sometimes to fall into the trap of "the more complex the system the more complex we expect the fault to be"
