Mfgr. date 04/74.
Frame SN #420xx.
Motor SN # 0421xx

The unused red lead?  Even the bullet connectors on the 3 yellow dyno leads appear factory.

Nothing red in the Z1 wiring diagram coming from the dyno harness. .We've never been into this dyno, so we don't really know what's really in there.  Aftermarket stator?  We're the 2nd. or 3rd. owners, bought it in '90 or '91. Don't know the history. Rest of the bike appears unmolested otherwise.  We've ridden this bike about 7,000 mi. since we bought it. Runs & charges fine.
Ignore the orange lead connected to the white wire.  That's where we replaced the plastic OEM 20A glass fuse holder with a robust, modern blade fuse holder.

Thanks all.

EDIT: Well..., The Lovely Z1BEBE delights in wiping egg off slmjim's face.
So, slmjim is at the carb bench. He has his back turned & hears Z1BEBE say "What's that?"
If he'd just bent down & looked, he'd have seen an aftermarket regulator mounted where the OEM regulator lives.  Three yellow leads & all.

So,...
Never Mind.
