Wire harness compatibility question was created by chris_heiges
So I’ve got this kz1000p it’s a 2000.
came to me as a skeleton so I’m using it as a canvas for an art project I’ve had in mind for a while, I plan to add the dyna s ignition to it, and strip it down to just a headlight and tail light. I’d like to get a new wire harness for it and then strip the harness to bare bones. The only one I have found so far is for a kz1000a for 77-78

Would this be a good harness to start with to make this work? I’m assuming it should be similar?

It would be less work to make your own harness from scratch.

Somewhere in this long thread you may be able to find a bare bones system for the later KZ1000.
