1976 Kawasaki KZ 400 without battery

Can A 1976 Kawasaki KZ 400 be started(kicked) and RUN without a battery?

No, the generator won't produce enough power at "kicking" speed to power the ignition

Could installing condensator be a option?

A large capacitor might work, but a modern regulator and a LiFePo battery might be a better choice.

In theory I think that could work, but large capacitors can be dangerous. Back in the days of CRT-based televisions, people would get knocked on their backsides (or worse) by the capacitors inside the TV.

I think an ignition - even for a small bike - would need a noticeably larger capacitor than would be found in a TV, making the idea more risky.

Also I think the bike would basically need to start on the first kick every time for the concept to work. I'm not a double-e and might very well be wrong on the math. TexasKZ's idea is probably the way to go.

The stock generator is "regulated" by battery voltage (no battery means no regulation) so you would need a totally different generator set up (like a motocross bike or lawnmower) or you will fry the generator. Why do you want to run without a battery ? Also I believe the KZ400 has a "field coil" generator which requires a battery feed to the field coil to generate anything
