Can anyone tell me where all the grounds are located on an 82 csr750? I have reason to believe I've got a bad ground.

Have you followed the negative cable from your battery?  The opposite end would be the ground.  Other than that....have you looked at the electrical diagram?

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I have not looked at an electrical diagram yet. I was hoping someone might know offhand from experience where they'd be. I figured the primary ground would be easy enough to find so I wasn't really worried about that one but isn't there usually a couple extra grounds between the motor and the frame?

I don't know about your model but all of my Kawasakis have only the one connection.  The ground wire in my bikes is usually black and yellow.

The negative of the battery connects to the engine, and through the rigid mounts to the chassis.   Therefore; WHOLE ENGINE AND CHASSIS become GROUND.,and of course anything bare metal connected to them is at ground level.   This is true for any vehicle.   This also means that any wire (other than Black/Yellow), chafed and rubbing against engine/chassis could cause intermittent problems.

..In a typical Kawasaki electric drawing (old bikes, that is) I can count nine(9) connections to ground (Chassis or Engine)

Battery (-)  Thick cable.
The Black/Yellow wire (on my model is attached to one the ignition coil mounting bolts)...and also to the negative of the battery (in addition to thick cable to engine)
4 spark plug bodies.
Cranking motor body
Oil Pressure switch body
Neutral Switch body.

By 'body' I mean those devices are making ground simply by being mounted on engine...not by wire.

If this helps.

As well as the big Neg cable attached to the crankcases there is another neg wire (small dis cable) going from this main neg bat wire to the loom, comes out in my headlight shell as well as a neg on the coil mounts. I have added a few extra (larger dia than std) neg cables and looped a few frame points together and ran back to the neg of the battery, did this when i ran my coils from a relay. This is also a good mod for any classic Japanese bike.

Thats interesting. I might have to try that. Thank you! Would anyone also happen to know if the two spark plugs wires can be switched in orientation with negative consequences? I replaced my plug wires but forgot which one went to which cylinder. I know, dumb mistake and I should have taken pictures but I was in a hurry.

If you have only one coil it should not matter.
