EMGO Ignition Switch was created by Huntmaster
Anyone know how to add a 7th (brown) wire to the Emgo 6 wire switch? It is clear the 7th wire will need to feed off one of the six already there, but which one.

From the diagram it looks like it powers the neutral light on the dash and the rear brske switch. You can tap into an acc. On wire.

Thanks for the thought. I have the diagram already and the Z1 switch is still only 6 wires and save for the wire colors on my switch it looks to be the same.

He is saying you can power the brown on you bike with a switched wire. Look at the Schematic in the red highlighted box. When ignition is turned it is connecting white which is 12V+ to the yellow and to the brown. So you would be able it connect the chassis side (load) of the brown wire to the to the yellow. Verify that on the new switch you get with a continuity tester. The switch white plug needs to be disconnected from the bike. Aslo you can verify it by hunting down the Schematic of the ignition you are swapping in.

You have a 6 wire bulk connector and a 7th brown wire with a single connector. Just tap the brown wire into a positive wire (with key on). I just wouldnt use the ignition circuit.

connect brown wire to yellow wire at the switch
the old switch did that-it just used additional terminal.
it's the same circuit.
