I am having a points problem, I think. I have been having an issue with no spark. It is a 1980 Kawasaki kz440 LTD with points. I have battery voltage at the + of the coil. I tried putting on new points and I have constant battery voltage at the negative of the coil, regardless of the position of the points (open or closed) I get about 12v on both coil terminals. Maybe I installed my points wrong? I have attached some picture I'm at the end of my ideas

Sorry, cannot see the picture. Be sure to click Insert All when posting pictures.
A common mistake is to get the wire pigtails between the wrong washers. Some of the washers on the points post are conductive, some are not. It matters what order they are in and where in the stack the pigtail goes.
