For Kaylinator and his KZ1000 and whoever else? This is what i do to whiten the registers for trip and mileage. A bit involved but once the needle and face are off..... I remove the Mileage register with a "custom" vice grip. The metal is folded over the shaft on the mileage register. One side requires opening quite a bit, the other just enough to relieve tension so the shaft can be slid out. A little brass e-clip has to be removed to slide the wheels/plates and gears off. Pay attention as to how they are removed to aid reassembly. Use a little baggie and pour in the Peroxide and whatever wheels need whitening. Let it sit in the sun for as long as it takes, check every couple hours. Wipe, don't rub, numbers won't be affected.

Yes. It comes in different concentrations. It's just some sort of hair coloring/bleaching formula. I'm sure there is a different product that does the same but this seems to work just fine. Ran across it on a video from a gent that was whitening an old bathroom fart fan cover, ha.

As a matter of fact...YES. As long as they are not too brown and crumbling. I've several of the rear KZ reservoir's.

Here is an example. This one was pretty piss-poor but just faced the better side out. Note the bad shape plastic in one photo, it was really brown before.

Plain hydrogen peroxide is stoooopid cheap. Clear and runny as water. I wonder if there are other ingredients in that hair goo that are important to the process.

Thanks Asphalt!

Can't find that Salon Care anywhere, and the old lady has never even heard of it. I'll have to see what other peroxide product I can find and cross my fingers.

Chicken doesn't taste like chicken most of the time. Have you ever tried straight hydrogen peroxide? Don't have to GTS.
