My wiring harness is in really bad shape and I really needed to replace it. Since the wiring harness aren't available for my bike, I had to find a decent used one. The one I picked up was in pretty good shape except for a few wires that were cut and now I'm having a difficult time figuring out where they go. Electrical is not a strong area for me! There are 2 brown, 1 brown/white and 1 blue/white wire connected together near the fuse block plug. According to the schematic, one of the brown wires goes to the brake light switch and the other to the regulator. But the schematic doesn't show the blue/white wire connected? It looks like a factory connection. I'm not sure what to do here and could use some help.

One brown goes to the main brown 12v Power. The other brown goes to the engine stop switch. The blue/white goes to the fuse box then through a fuse then turns to blue and out to headlight dimmer. Brown/white goes to fuse box then through a fuse then turns to red/blue which powers tach, speedo lights and power to front turn signals

The wiring diagram you posted is different. My bike is a 79 b3. Thanks for the help!

I think this one is for the B3

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Sometimes I don't read things completely....hence the deleted text.
Is the harness for your exact bike

I know it was different but it was the only one I could find with the color wires you showed in your post. The Schematic you posted doesn’t match the colors of the plug you posted. As F64 mentioned you might not have a B3 harness

Even the Schematic HRM doesn’t match the picture of the connector. Your showing a 4 pin connection to the fuse box. The B3 Schematic posted shows a 3 pin connector.... something not lining up.

Your asking where the wires from the 4 pin connector go to, but if your bike has a 3 pin connector as HRM’s Schematic show your asking the wrong question. Wrong information will get you wrong answers 100% of the time

You may be correct. I'll have to compare the harness with the one I have on the bike right now.

Sorry, the confusion is my fault. Many years ago, I colorized that image posted by the OP. I screwed up on one fuse wire.

The connection in question is the 4-pin (4P Conn) connected right next to the fuses. I believe I made two brown/white wires when in fact the one going to the lowest fuse should have been blue/white.

Those cut brown wires are switched 12v. They are at 12v when the ignition switch is turned on. One goes to the rear brake light switch and the other I'm not sure. The one going into the main harness eventually goes to many places. One of them is the regulator. If there is not a brown wire for the regulator, then the second cut brown wire is probably that one. The stock regulator uses that brown wire, but some aftermarket reg/recs don't. If the regulator has the brown wire, it is critical that it gets a good connection on the brown wire. Without it you can fry the whole bike.

I'll correct it, but there is no longer a place for me to post the full-size image at the moment. I'll eventually post it full size somewhere, but til then here's a smaller version.

Side note: It's interesting how over the years the colors have changed due to file type changes. The original gif, in my opinion, had colors closer to the actual colors. The green in the subsequent jpg version is too "limey" in my opinion.
