That reminds me of a bet I won when I was still in high school. We were discussing how to disable cars so our buddies wouldn’t drive drunk. His idea was to remove the coil wire. Ironically I bet him a 40oz budwizer that I could still drive my car home without a coil wire. So the bet was on. He removed the coil wire from my 1967 Camaro, I went over to the closest tree, found a branch of appropriate size and made sure it was green by stripping off the bark. I installed it between the coil and distributer cap and proceeded to drive him to the party store to make good on his wager.

I have tried a lot of wacky things in my earlier years, but never using a tree branch as a coil wire! That is funny!
