This may sound silly but i was hoping someone on here could take pictures of the spark plug boot so i know whether or not mine are jerry rigged. Reason for me being unsure is i am replacing the plugs and the oem plugs will not plug into the existing plug boots. Aftermarket oem style coils(not dyna), ngk wires, boots and plugs. However, the existing plugs are BR7ES as opposed to B7ES that kawi states as oem. The boots plug into the BR7ES BUT will not fit oem plugs. Looking at the plug it looks like the screw cap was taken off to fit this boot, or got jammed into the boot, but it is the correct p/n as far as i can tell. Also all 4 existing plugs and boots are the same. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

For sure the 1977 KZ650 original spark plug boots require the little caps to be removed from the spark plugs. The boots grip the threaded portion of the plugs. Yours may be the same. Ed

So that would lead me to believe that my NGK oem replacements should follow suit. I will try that and see if it works thankyou.
