Gauge mounting bracket

Gauge mounting bracket was created by twist
Fellow KZ'ers,

Maybe its the age of these bikes, or just a weak
piece of aluminum, but, I gotta replace my mounting
bracket for the gauges. It appears the metal just
gave up the ghost while out riding, causing
the speedo to flop around. (Not that it was that accurate
to begin with.) Looks like it snapped in two places
where there is very thin material. Anyway,
if anyone out there is parting out a front end (this is
an '80 750 twin) and has one that they can part with,
I'll take it, name your price.

In the meantime, I'll fab something together, for the
short term. And it was such a nice day to ride today...
60's in the northeast are rare in november.

Thanks!,

Go to buykawasaki.com and look under owner info and then parts diagrams for your bike and get the part number for that piece that broke. Then ask some nice person on this board who owns the Zedder Kaw parts cross reference to check the part number to see which one of those brackets will fit your bike. The thing that broke sure looks like the same one as on a KZ900! Maybe other models will fit and it would expand your chances of finding a piece to replace the broken bracket.

Wiredgeorge,

Thank you for your excellent suggestion.

The kawasaki part number is 25008-045, and I clipped the graphic from the parts diagram. If anyone out there can
cross-reference it with other models/years, that would be a great help, as I don't know anyone that has
a kaw parts fiche or cd or whatever...

In the graphic, its # 6...

Thanks again for your help!

Not 100% sure but I think KZ650, KZ900, KZ1000 up to 1980 will work for you.
I probably have a spare, $20 if interested.
later! Bob
