wired right??? was created by steveo_4192003
ok, my bike died on me today, and my battery is dead!
i jumped it and it started but when i took off the jumper-cables it died.

so, should i be-able to run the bike after its started with-out the battery hooked up? or should it die and not run?

i took off the jumper and it sputtered and backfired really loud! if i kept it connected it ran fine.
i rode for at least 30 min then hit the gas station!
when i went to take off it died and got flooded thats why battery is dead
how long can you ride on just battery power? few minutes? hours?
i had about 1.5 hours total run time on battery w/out recharging and always bright lights and started right up

any help will be greatful!!

Ok, I moved it and removed the "Please move" from your subject :)

If the battery was dead, it takes a while to recharge it, a few minutes won't do it.
Sounds like you may have charging system problems, there is a really good charging system troubleshooting guide in the filebase under the "KZ Information" tab at the top of the page.

the 77 650 needs a battery to work correctly. Later models of the KZ 650 might be able to run without the battery.
