You don't have to have a slide rule to check out what Jeff was saying wireman! If you don't want to do the math on a circuit, here is another way to check. FIRST, put a 130W high beam in your headlight which has a 10A circuit. Put it on high beam and run the bike till the headlight connector shell melts. Replace the head light shell connector. Then put in a 100W high beam headlamp and run the bike on high beam until the headlight connector shell melts. Then replace the connector and put in a 90W high beam and run the bike on high beam until the connector shell melts. Then replace the connector shell. Then install an 80W high beam and note some smoke coming from your headlight but the HIGH BEAM STAYS LIT!... AHA! You have found the highest headlight bulb you can run on that 10A circuit without frying the connector... The smoke should tell the experienced eye that it won't last that long but you will see deer at night for at least a couple weeks. See, no need to use any math at all! hehe (official wiseguy posting - feel free to smack me hehe)
