New to the forum

Hello All. New to the forum so I thought I'd say hello and ask a question. I just pulled my trusty old KZ 650 out of a 6 year sleep and getting everything back in order.

Front brake master cylinder needs rebuilt. Anywhere I can get a rebuild kit for less than $45 that the local dealer wants?

Good to see your getting your 650 out again. I also brought mine out of a 10 year nap.

Near the bottom right hand side, there's a Links button that will take you to a list of places that you can compare prices on parts. I've never needed to rebuild my master cylinder, so I can't give you any help there. Mine was stored with dot 5 fluid and was fine after 10 years.

Give us a pic of your ride as well.

This thing sat in the corner of my parents garage for 6 years with a tarp over it. I had stabil in the tank and drained the float bowls before putting away. I also coated the entire bike with WD-40.

Nice! When you can post a bigger pic of the tank and paint job please. What color is it?

It is a repaint. Almost original colors. The main color is black. Big pinstripe is kawasaki green with smaller gold/silver pinstripe. I will post a closer pic when everything is clean.

I just started her today after 6 years. She still screams but just won't idle and backfires a little. guess I'll have to clean the carbs after all.
