Battery good, no electrical power? was created by puckaveli
I rode my 79 KZ650 yesterday for a few hours with no issues. Woke up this morning turned the key to on and nothing, no lights, no nothing, so think maybe I didn't turn the key all the way off last night and the battery is dead. So I hook the cables up to my Gixxer turn the key to on and still no power. I test the battery and it's fine, power is getting to the starter soleniod and the other red wire running under the tank from the battery. I still have to trace the red wire going under the tank to see where the power stops, but I'm open to suggestions as to where to look next. Also all three fuses on the right are fine.

I took the cover off from behind the ignition and jiggled the wires and checked the connections then I walk over to test the power to the fuses again and I look up and everything is fine, I reach up and hit the start button and it fired right up. The connections behind the ignition where clean as could be. I guess I'll have to follow them out and see what I can find.

maybe a bad connection at the main fuse.
