Anyone give a 75 kz400 S an electric start?

Anyone give a 75 kz400 S an electric start? was created by storysunfolding
It seems like I could canabalize the same year D model and make my bike easier on the kick starter impaired... or me depending on how you read it.

I think the electric start bike also gets a bigger battery. That may be an issue. I think you can just get a battery box from a D to fit, but I'm not sure.

There are a couple minor differences in the harness (or loom if you're British) - really minor. You'll need the starter and solenoid and connectors, etc.

During my rebuild of my 400, I actually used an S model harness from I think a '77, oh honestly I don't remember what year, but I made it work with parts from the D model.

My point is: if *I* can do it, anyone can... ;)
