My Igniter has a fault, I'm not getting a reading on the red wire. I thought if it's toast, I may as well open her up to see if I can find a loose wire or something.

Anyone ever had one of these things open?

The front and sides are metal, and the back is a soft flexable material. I tried carefully cutting along the edge to open her up, but it looks like the whole inner unit is encased in this soft material. Any ideas?

I opened one up. It's pretty interesting inside. They actually used surface mount technology. Even the transistors were layered onto the main plate. I don't think you'd be able to repair it, if that's the plan.
