settiing up speedometer pickup was created by cary
can an electric speedo pickup be mounted onto a wheel and fork setup for a mechanical speedo? this would be a KZ 1000 J pickup and gauges, on an '82 spectre 750 wheel and '82 kz750 forks setup (hell, with all this mix'n'match I'll just be glad when it rolls ;) )

Probably not. But you can use any number of after market speedometers that use magnetic pickups. Another solution is a bicycle speedometer. The better ones are programmable for different size wheels and go well into triple digits.

the electric pickup mounts exactly like the mechanical but make sure you get the small blade type insert that drives the speedo from the wheel that has electric. its held in with a snapring i put one on a spoke wheel
