spark plug heat ranges was created by rammy
on an NGK plug the higher the # the hotter the plug or is it just the opposite???

It is the opposite. A 9 is a "cooler" plug than a "6".

Through my few years of being here I have noticed that most people seem to run 8's (cooler), with 7's (hotter) being the second most mentioned... for what it's worth...
