I have a kz440 that I assumed was a B model. I have a C model manual and all seems pretty much the same.

Went to do the points today, took the cover off and discovered no points.

Did kawasaki change the electronics somewhere along the line or can I assume that a coversion has been done. I notice there is an extra screw hole to the right side indicating that something else was in there.

The reason I am asking is I need to check the valves and want to aline TDC, but cannot find the alignment marker (its marked on the end of the crank (T and I) and I suspect there is a little mark by the top screw - but not sure.

I can always do it the old fashioned way and stick a coat hanger down #1 plug.
