kz750 starter clutch help was created by flht1997
Hey everybody. As some know I am a high school shop teacher. My advanced power class is doing the motorcycle unit right now and I am in need of some help. We have an 81' kz750 ltd that were are fixing up. The starter did not work, and disassembly has revealed the starter clutch housing (round thing where the springs and rollers are) is cracked in two! I was hoping that is just needed springs but it appears to be junk. Anybody out there got one, or knows somebody that does? Would like to start reassembly right after Christmas.

Do it right or don't bother doing it at all.
