Ok, this is mostly my own fault, but anyway... In the process of restoring my '78kz1000, I replaced the starter cable (the original was ?improperly routed and its insulation was severly worn.) When I loosed the wire from the body of the starter the bolt itself turned around. Initialy I though nothing of it, but once put back together - all I'd get is a clack from the relay. Pulling the starter out again and opening it up I found that I'd cracked off a wire inside the casing. It was soldered to the inside of the terminal.

How in the heck can I fix this mess?

If you do not feel up to soldering yourself take to Automotive Electric Shop ( Gen./Starters. They can reattach for you.
