Ultrasonic carb cleaning

Read through some replies. Did anyone mention need for a really really good inline fuel filter. Everyone I run with uses an inline fuel filter, just in case.

Good call! That should be "old kz 101". I was surprised to find my 550 didn't have one when I bought it. You especially want to install a new one after cleaning your tank. The old one will be full of the old rust and will continue to pass small particles of that stuff through to your carbs...

That's why I cleaned the carbs one more time and installed new o-rings so I could clean under the old ones and get every last speck of rust out of there.

By the way, you should see how clear the gas is coming from the tank now. When I did the float test and adjustments, I let the gas drain from the tube into a clear plastic water bottle and it was barely tinted yellow. Usually, the gas from the tank was nearly orange in color, just from all the rust particles. Dang, it feels good to have it all clean!
