ive been having problems with a real inconsistent idle. sometimes it idles fine, then goes up and downa nd its all over the place. i forget where it was, but i was reading about checking the intake boots and spraying wd40 to see if the idle changed. and it did change when i did that. so could my bad idle be bad rubber boots? even if they look ok?

just an addition, this bike runs extremely well once it gets going and driving. takes a little while to warm up but when it does it is fast as hell all the way up to redline

bad intake boots can be deceptive for sure. try it agan and spray one at a time while it idles. dont be afraid to really soak it good...it wipes off . hold a bright light so you can see them closely. when theyre cracked they actually look like theyre breathing...cracks opening and closing. first time i did this test i was shocked at how many cracks they had...steve
