VM26's on a 750 was created by calum
From what I have read on some older threads here, I should be able to put a set of VM26 carbs on my 750 using slightly modified 900/1000 carb boots. I have a set on the shelf and am considering trying this out. Is anyone running this setup? Are there any drawbacks? Can I keep the stock airbox?

The reason for doing this is that I need to pull the carbs that on the bike and give them a once over. I want to take my time so I would like to have another set of carbs on the bike while I'm working on them.
I do have another set of CV34's that I could clean up and use but they require more work that the VM's.

There would be no issues, hardest part is slotting the manifold rubbers to fit the bolt C-C on a 650/750 head. Jet according to exhaust and filtration.

Looking at that picture I may have to try a few different boots on the airbox side. Stock 650 probably won't fit the carbs and stock 900/1000 might not fit on the airbox side. Will see what I have lying around...

Those rubber ducts in that pic going to the air box are stock KZ900, the stock KZ650 air box holes needed to be enlarged so it became a "dedicated" setup.

If you have a stock 750 CV air box you could use some rad hose or similar to take up the gap on the rubbers (900 being smaller than CV holes)
