Idle mixture screwdriver

Have you like me cursed all living and dead carburetor designers that placed the idle mixture screw on the underside of the carbs?Blessed are the guys at Mikuni that placed the screws on top, genius engineering that when into that.

Every now and then a friend shows up and ask if I can adjust their carbs, lately I was unlucky and a friend owning a CB750F -83 showed up and unfortunately, I agreed to help out. Little did I know about the Keihin VB42 carbs, what a pain. The floats cannot be adjusted, and they only come into styles, overflowing or much too low.

Anyhow trying to set the Idle mixture turned out to be a close to death experience, I had not tool except just a screwdriver bit to try to adjust the mixture. Definitely not the right tool for the job, so I made these if any of you need.

Whipped out a miniature screwdriver in Fusion 360



and printed them on my Creality Ender 3 Pro.

Nice little screwdrivers, like you I had the same problem and I have small hands, I myself done something similar with the screwdriver tip in a sleeve so the whole thing covers the screw head stopping it sliding off, I shall dig it out and get a pic of it, on my little super four it's even harder  so I turned the screw heads so they were thinner and made some 1/4" long brass nuts and now use a 2 and 1/2inch long ratchet designed for those tiny screwdriver bits, sometimes you just have to think outside the box.

I use a small screw tip with a small piece of 1/4 inch fuel line stuck on so I can grab it.

I guess I’m just old and dumb, I just burn the crap out of my hand a cus a lot. That mini flat blade screwdriver is cool

We use a Motion Pro geared 90° screwdriver. It comes with tips and the handle clicks in 1/8th turn increments.

Dang-it, I neeeeed one of those!

Seems like a perfect subject to 3D-print, except of course the steel tube, main shaft and screw-driver bits (got loads of those in the bottom of my tool-box, for some reason !)
Maybe I should to draw helical bevel gears, for a smooth action... hmmmm

Simple tool to make using radio controlled model car differential bevel gears. 

Darn and all of a sudden it turned in to one of those "got a have" moments. 

Guess I am back in front of Confusion 360! 
As a rod I have got some stainless tube, got to se if I will print the gears or use some pree made.
