What material are carb made of?

I measured my CVK34 carb bowls to figure out what kind of lean angle would make gas flow into the over flow tubes.
Looks to be 14 degrees (@8mm above gasket) not sure what that looks like when the bike is leaned over.
I think I am going to have to check and see if this would be a issue, wonder if the pegs are scraping at that point?

I imagine most of the leaning we do will be around corners?
What effect does the G force of the turn have on the gas in the bowl?

I was going to install the bowls today.
Decided to do another round of leak tests before going through the hassle of installing the bowls.
Set the first bowl up, then gathered the tools I was going to need.
Checked for leaks every few minutes, nothing so far.
Prepare some more, and just about ready to install one of the bowls when I check the test bowl for leaks, and there is a leak.
Took 10 to 15 minutes to show.

I would not use a propane torch on these at, best you will probably warp them, then within half a second you stand a good chance of melting them, i would have made up screw in overflows, that way a little teflon tape does the sealing.
Are these avilable?
And what are the specs/size of them?

A 2K epoxy like JB Weld or LOCTITE® EA 3479 will seal the tubes.
Thanks for the tips.
Thinking of trying to seal them from below with JB Weld, as I have some.
Any tips working with and forming JB Weld around the bowls drain nipple?

I was looking at a couple of magazine advertisement photos of stock equipped KZ650 leaning into corners (tried to get some head on photos) Lean angle before hitting the foot pegs looks to be about 30 degrees, almost double of what I measured. I think I will be looking to close up the ends with something, either solder or plugs with some .050" holes.

I really need to pull my bike out and physically check it with fuel in there. My bike is lowered a bit so that angle would be slightly less.

I think the cornering forces will mostly keep the fuel "level" in the bowl.  That is that the fuel won't really lean during corning.  It's the same way that the oil in the pan stays near the pickup and doesn't all slosh over to one side during cornering.  But when you go and put a bike engine in a 4-wheel chassis now suddenly you have a big issue with oil starvation.

I'm sure there will be some sloshing over bumps, and low speed maneuvers where the corning forces are low could maybe cause the fuel level to tip and rock.

But my guess is that the worst case "lean angle" you need to worry about is when it's sitting still on the side stand, and maybe add in a few more degrees to account for the crown of the road or uneven ground leaning the bike over a bit extra.

They are what i made, the pipe is 2mm bore soldered into the threaded part which has a 5mm thread on it, i made these specifically for vm 26 carbs that had broken spigots, they are made long so they could be trimmed down.

For what it's worth, I've converted later year Keihin CV34 float bowls w/o tubes to accept overflow tubes quite easily.  Drill a small hole though the nipple on the bottom of the float bowl, all the way though to inside the carb.  Then make a fuel tube from brass tubing from a hobby store and press it into place.

This thread details the process... www.kzrider.com/forum/3-carburetor/60563...at-bowl-leaks#759101

Trying the JB Weld on the bottom around the nipples to see if I can seal the leaks:

Need drying for a day, then I will leak test them.

The bowls are off KeiHin CVK32 carbs.
I mistakingly called them Mikuni carbs in the opening post.
I have found 4 stock bowls on ebay and have those as back up if I truly screw these up.
